Good ol’ 00 Gundam. This little HG never fails to impress.
Surprise Gendum day. Found a tiny little shop in a local-ish mall that had some Gundam kits, overpriced of course, but I was happy enough to find anything like this in an actual store anymore. Was a choice between this and a Jegan, girlfriend picked this one for me so I wouldn’t be torn over with indecision (thanks dear), and I spent about $25 on it. Which I’ll get over. Now to see how far I can get in a single night.
Another convention exclusive (a Comicon exclusive, in fact, though I got mine at Otakon. Go figure.), HG00 1/144 Gundam Exia Repair II. It’s all molded in a sort of pearlescent plastic, and makes for particularly interesting pictures under camera flash. I’ve since converted it into a blend of normal Exia and Exia Repair II, as I couldn’t just leave all those extra swords on the runners. xD
Graham lost his crackers. 1/144 HGOO Susanowo, Trans Am Mode. Not a favorite, but still sorta cool in its own right. Terrible legs though.
1/144 HGOO Arche Gundam. Prince Ali’s magnificent bastard Gundam. A past girlfriend got this one for me. I appreciate its uniqueness, and in my head games and what-ifs I tend to associate this one as being a design of Scirroco’s. It’s very alien, very mean, and has swords in its toes. How more brutal can you get?
1/144 HG00 O Gundam, A.C.D. Colors. Another amazing kit, nearly as articulate and mobile as the OO Gundam. And it just looks so MEAN for a RX-78-2 remake. Always pissed off, ready to shoot you in the stomach or kick you in the goddamn face. Which, due to how well the suit is designed, it can totally do.
1/144 HG00 00 Gundam + O Raiser, Designer Colors. This now belongs to my girlfriend, on account of my realizing that though I bought for the cool colors, I’m missing the GN Sword III that came in later kits. Screw you, Bandai. Still, amazing kit, EVERYONE should own a 00 Gundam at some point. The kit’s a goddamn gymnast, one of the most articulate Bandai’s ever done.
